The answer to that is probably not. If your site is exposed and isn’t secure enough to keep intruders away then your equipment, including your generator, could be tampered with. This means that as well as stealing any fuel they can also get at other possibly more contagious materials on your site. We would expect that if your power generator is being housed on an outdoor site, it will be kept in a locked container that’s safe from intruders.

Another point to consider is that generators are valuable and the cost to both you and ourselves in terms of recuperating the value of a stolen generator is expensive. 

Can you refuel safely?

Is it a safe area where you can refuel without the possibility of any risk to your team or any customers, if you have any (say, if it’s at an event, a festival or a wedding for instance). Have you made sure that any cables are covered and can’t be tripped over or broken? Always make sure that cables are laid into the ground with cable ramps.
